Londoners reflect on flight delays at UK airports

Ahead of summer holidays, we ask Londoners to recount any holiday delay dramas.

00:00Oh gosh, yeah, I had a really bad flight delay when I was coming, where was I, I was actually

00:05going, I can't remember where I was going to, I've travelled a lot, but I think it was

00:10when I was going to Croatia, it was really, really bad, I think, I can't remember which

00:15airline it was, but they gave us some food vouchers and that was great, but I feel like

00:20the food vouchers were only like a tenner, like we were stuck in the airport for ages,

00:24it was one of the worst experiences of my life.

00:27And on the way back was when the liquid bomb thing started, so shame, we had to stay in

00:31New York an extra three days, what a shame, but yeah, that's the only flight delay I've

00:35had, but I didn't mind that.

00:36I would have minded if I was on my way out to New York, but I was on my way back from

00:40New York, so I didn't really mind it.

00:41I just haven't had great experiences at Luton or Stansted, and I haven't flown from London

00:46City Airport yet, but I would always recommend, I would rather pay extra money to fly from

00:51Gatwick or Heathrow rather than pay less money and go from Stansted or Luton because of the experience.
