00:03It's a book that shows a way to live life, not a dharmic book.

00:06And many foreign institutes have Bhagavad Gita as a core source in their management courses.

00:11Then why this generation in India do not have much knowledge of Bhagavad Gita?

00:16Five stories from the Bhagavad Purana. That's all.

00:19Krishna, obviously Krishna. Yeah, yeah, the one in the neighborhood.

00:24All my life, I've been inviting people to the Gita, teaching Gita,

00:29speaking for hours on every single shloka of the Gita.

00:33And not too many people have been interested. Why?

00:35We know the story. Makhan Chor.

00:37What else is there to know? What else is there to know?

00:39And there are so many TV serials. Are they talking of the Gita?

00:42They are showing how he made love with all the milkmaids,

00:46wooing them, frolicking with them. That's what the TV serials are showing, right?

00:50Or are they educating you in the principles of Gita, the philosophy of Vedanta?

00:55Gita is one of the pillars of Vedanta, by the way.
