00:09that will be held from May 17 to 30 in Taipei.
00:12Let's find out the whole details in the report of Teamic. Paolo, thank you.
00:17The Philippine Masters Games Association, or PMGA, is preparing a huge delegation that they will send for the 2025 World Master Games
00:28that will be held from May 17 to 30 in Taipei, Taiwan, at the Philippine Sports Writers Association Forum Kamakailan in Manila.
00:36PMGA President Atty. Alberto Agra said that there are 42 athletes who will not be eliminated in the 35-year-long competition
00:44that is confirmed in the 10 sports disciplines.
00:48The Philippines will host games such as basketball, athletics, taekwondo, fencing, archery, triathlon, table tennis, swimming, weightlifting, and fun run.
00:59Agra explained that because PMGA is a non-profit organization and there is no fund from the government,
01:06it is the decision of the athletes to pay their own expenses for the World Masters Games.
01:12So all of it will go to their own accommodations, their own facilities, their own playfair, and their own food.
01:21The only thing that we owe them is this T-shirt and send-off.
01:28And I hope that we will have a solicit report then to help in any way to subsidize.
01:34But right now, nothing yet.
01:36So thank you very much for your help. I hope that we will have sponsors.
01:42They know that. We did not tell them that being part of the PMGA delegation will mean you will get an X amount.
01:54They know that.
01:55So I am very thankful that even without financial assistance from anyone, they took it seriously.
02:05Agra is also behind the PINOY Masters, a former PINOY veteran, who is giving a chance to athletes who are over 70 years old.
02:15If there is a PINOY kid, if there is a national game, if there is a national tertiary games,
02:22we at PMGA will make sure that there will be competitions, training activities for Masters and Seniors.
02:34In order to expand their reach, PMGA was able to help various national sports associations in the country,
02:42such as Arnis, Swimming, Squash, Triathlon, Cycling, Kano Kayak, Rugby, Pickleball, Paddle, Trail Running, and Obstacle Sports.
