00:00The Commission on Elections has announced that any candidate who will use music in the Jingle campaign will be punished by the owner.

00:08This is what Louisa Erispe reported.

00:13Have you heard of the Jingle campaign where your favorite songs will be played?

00:18It's really loud to listen to and to listen to at the same time.

00:22But what if it's just a robbery?

00:25Like this band that complained because the owner didn't let them know that they will be using their song Raining in Manila for the campaign.

00:34That's why the Commission on Elections will punish the candidates who stole music from the artists to use in their Jingle campaign.

00:45Don't steal other people's acts.

00:47Don't steal other people's music or lyrics.

00:51We can't do that because the Filipino artists are pitiful.

00:55It's their intellectual property.

00:58Comelec said that they will issue a notice to explain to the candidates.

01:03But because they also signed an agreement with the Intellectual Property of the Philippines, IPOFIL,

01:09they will immediately issue the complaint to the agency.

01:13And they will not give them an explanation.

01:16It was just done by the supporters of the candidates.

01:18If the Jingle is about you, admit it.

01:21We will presume that they have rights.

01:24They know that it's theirs.

01:25Then, therefore, they will do something.

01:27They apologize to the rightful owner, to the author, or to the composer.

01:32And at the same time, they will explain it to IPOFIL.

01:36Comelec called the band that complained and to other artists who stole their rights.

01:42Don't dare to approach Comelec's office and file a formal complaint.

01:47To the band that complained that their rights were stolen,

01:52I hope they will file a complaint so that we can coordinate with IPOFIL.

01:59As of now, no formal complaint has reached their office so far.
