00:00Russia and Ukraine have both reported new strikes on energy infrastructure as the war continues.
00:06What is your analysis of the military situation on the ground? You told me earlier Russia is
00:13trying to gain leverage. You know the the battlefield itself is largely frozen but
00:18Russia is really interested in trying to push Ukraine out of the Kursk region which is the
00:23part of Russia that the Ukrainian troops managed to take over last year and they've still maintained
00:29a foothold there. Ukraine has also realized that it is very it is that Russia is very vulnerable
00:37to these drone and missile strikes against its energy infrastructure in part because this imposes
00:42a cost in the civilian population and makes them more weary of the war efforts that have been
00:47dragging on far longer than any Russian thought this would go. But what we haven't seen is any
00:54side be able to gain a clear advantage on the battlefield by taking more territory. However
00:59frankly the Russian side does appear to have the edge in terms of military production.
01:05Absent U.S. and European support Ukraine still cannot stand on its own.
