00:00The Provincial Government of Sorsogon is targeting the so-called Pankababaihan

00:05where they conduct free pap smear and HIV testing to the women of the province.

00:11The PIA Sorsogon received the news from Benilda Recedido.

00:18The five-day activity was held in People's Mansion, Capital Compound, Sorsogon City, Kamakailan

00:24where more than 1,000 women received free pap smear from various municipalities of Sorsogon.

00:32According to Provincial Guard Focal Person, Christina Hamoralin,

00:35the free pap smear in the province is part of their program every National Women's Month.

00:44Pap smear is a program for women aged 22 to 62 years old

00:51who want to get a free pap smear test.

00:56This is an early detection of cervical cancer in women.

01:02So, early prevention and detection.

01:05Through this program, women's worries about cervical cancer are reduced,

01:12as well as financial problems,

01:15because the pap smear test in the Philippines usually costs from P1,000 to P4,500.

01:23It is very helpful because you don't have to spend money,

01:27you don't have to go to the hospital,

01:30and they will also drop you off at the R.H.U.

01:33and you don't have to come back here.

01:35So, as a female who wants to know about your cervix,

01:44this free pap smear is very important.

01:48It is very helpful.

01:49Aside from the free pap smear test and dental and medical services of the government,

01:54there is also free HIV testing and health orientation

01:59to strengthen the freedom of women in their reproductive health

02:03and to end any negative perspective and discrimination of people about HIV.
