All the emotions as NATI plays Brighton date

Scottish singer NATI is promising all the emotions as she heads south for a date at Brighton Patterns on April 23.

00:00Good afternoon, my name is Phil Hewitt, Group Answer, editor at Sussex Newspapers. Really

00:06lovely to speak to Natty, all the way from the east coast of Scotland, who is heading,

00:10well, about as far as you can get without leaving this island. You'll be playing Brighton,

00:15won't you? Brighton Patent, on April the 23rd this year, and that's on the back of your

00:21second EP, which came out, well, as we speak, only a couple of days ago. And it's an EP

00:27you are, well, you're buzzing with it, I can tell, you're really, really happy with it.

00:31It's what you wanted it to be. Why has it worked so well?

00:36I am so happy with this EP, because from start to finish, I put on my big girl pants, and

00:44I was very headstrong about everything that I wanted, how I wanted it to sound, how I

00:48wanted it to look, how I wanted it to feel. And I have a small team, but we are mighty,

00:54and we really just grafted for two and a bit years, and we made it perfect. So, you

00:59know, there's always a thing of like, when you create something, you look at it, and

01:03you can, you have the ability to go like, oh, maybe I should have, I don't have that

01:08at all. And it's such a refreshing feeling, looking at something and going, I wouldn't

01:13change a thing. But I am excited because it's a bigger sound, is more accurately representative

01:20of how we are live, very loud, energetic, fiery.

01:23So does that reflect the fact that it's the second one, that you have greater confidence

01:27in saying, this is what I want?

01:29Definitely, like I've really, really, I mean, it's definitely, older was everything I wanted

01:33as well. But I think I was just a bit more confident in my abilities, and my, I hate

01:40this word, but like my vision, I kind of, I knew what I wanted.

01:43You're a loud vision.

01:45From day one, I knew what I wanted, and it was executed perfectly by me. And the amazing

01:50team that I have. But I think, yes, confidence is the correct word.

01:57And there's a big range of emotions on it, you were saying?

02:02Too many emotions. I don't know how I go through them all in five songs. But yeah,

02:05there's anger, sorrow, pain, nostalgia, joy, bitchiness, confidence, definitely.

02:13And that reflects in the music and in the live setting as well. So it's just,

02:18it's a lot more electric in every sense of the word. And it's so much fun to perform,

02:24to listen to, to create. So I just got a big smile on my face because this tour is going

02:29to be very, very fun and loud.
