Penglai Immortal Island, located in Penglai District, Yantai City, Shandong Province, China, is one of the mythical sea islands in Chinese folklore, alongside Fangzhang and Yingzhou. According to legend, it is the place where the Eight Immortals crossed the sea, often associated with the mirage phenomenon, earning it the title "Fairyland on Earth." Penglai Pavilion, its central attraction, was first built during the Northern Song Dynasty. The ancient architectural complex, set against mountains and sea, offers stunning scenery, drawing visitors to explore its仙踪 (traces of immortals) and admire natural wonders.
