00:05We had a lot of very interesting things happen.

00:08I think we're making a lot of progress on Ukraine and Russia.

00:13There's always conflict, but I think we're making a lot of progress getting it stopped.

00:18We just want to see thousands of soldiers a week stop dying,

00:24because they're dying at numbers that we probably haven't seen since the Second World War

00:30for no reason whatsoever.

00:32It's a shame. It's a shame.

00:35So I think we are making progress.

00:39Step by step, there's tremendous hatred between the leaders,

00:44if you call the whole situation leaders.

00:48But I think we'll get that done.

00:52And the Middle East, a lot of things are happening with respect to Iran.

00:57And we'll see if we can get something done.

00:59And if not, it's going to be a bad situation, very, very bad.

01:03On the oil sanctions that you mentioned today, when will they start?

01:11We have a couple.

01:13We have the secondary tariffs on Iran, and we'll probably give it a couple of weeks.

01:19And if we don't see any progress, we're going to put them on.

01:21We're not putting them on right now, but if you remember, I did that six years ago,

01:27and it worked very well, to put it mildly.

01:30And if the election weren't rigged, you would have a situation

01:36where there would be no problem with Iran today, but it was.

01:39Biden didn't know what he was doing, obviously.

01:42And we have a very rough situation in the Middle East because of that.

01:48We ended up with October 7th, and you would have never had October 7th,

01:52and you would have never had Russia going into Ukraine likewise.

01:56But we're going to make a decision on secondary tariffs on Iran

02:00based on whether or not they're going to make a deal.

02:02If they're going to make a deal, then we're never going to put secondary tariffs on.

02:07We're going to hope they have a great, long, and successful life as a country.

02:14But we'll see what happens.

02:16Very interesting.

02:18I can't imagine them doing anything else but making a deal.

02:22I would prefer a deal to the other alternative,

02:26which I think everybody in this plane knows what that is.

02:29And that's not going to be pretty, and I do not prefer that.

02:33Mr. President, on the tariffs, you said at one point that the tariffs Tuesday

02:39would be more conservative than what people might think.

02:43There's reports that you are maybe now looking to make the tariffs higher.

02:48So are you weighing higher tariffs?

02:50The tariffs will be far more generous than those countries were to us,

02:56meaning they will be kinder than those countries were

03:01to the United States of America over the decades.

03:04They ripped us off like no country has ever been ripped off in history.

03:10And we're going to be much nicer than they were to us,

03:14but it's substantial money for the country nevertheless.

03:17On the tariffs that you're planning,

03:20so you're expecting to hit something like 10 to 15 countries.

03:24Is that right?

03:25No, no.

03:27All of the countries?

03:28Is it across the board?

03:29Not 10.

03:30Who told you 10 or 15 countries?

03:32Well, we heard that.

03:33So we heard that you were going to aim for the 10%.

03:35But you didn't hear it from me.

03:36So how many countries will be in that initial trunch?

03:39You'd start with all countries.

03:41So let's see what happens.

03:43There are many countries involved.

03:45I haven't heard a rumor about 15 countries, 10 or 15.

03:48So you're starting with all countries?

03:50Essentially all of the countries that we're talking about.

03:54We wouldn't be talking about all countries.

03:56That's not a cutoff.

03:58And if you look at the history and you look at what's happened to us,

04:02you go to certain places, go to Asia,

04:05and you take a look at every single country in Asia,

04:08what they've done to the United States in trade.

04:11And, by the way, in military in a certain way.

04:14You take a look at trade with Asia.

04:18And I wouldn't say anybody is treated as fairly or nicely.

04:25But we are going to treat them.

04:28We're going to be much more generous to them in terms of heart.

04:32We're going to be much more generous than they were to us.

04:35You said you were not joking about a third term,

04:39about possibly wanting a third term.

04:41Does that mean you're not planning to leave office on January 20th?

04:44I'm not looking at that, but I'll tell you,

04:46I have had more people ask me to have a third term,

04:49which is in a way a fourth term because of the other election.

04:52The 2020 election was totally rigged.

04:55So it's actually sort of a fourth term in a certain way.

04:58I just don't want the credit for the second

05:00because Biden was so bad.

05:02He did such a bad job.

05:04And I think that's one of the reasons that I'm popular,

05:07if you want to know the truth.

05:08I think I'm popular because we've done a great job.

05:10I think we've had the best almost hundred days of any president.

05:14And most people are saying that.

05:17And it's an honor.

05:19We're bringing back our country.

05:20We're respected as a country again.

05:22And we're strongly respected.

05:24And people are amazed.

05:26I was with some very important people today,

05:29and they said that they've never seen a turnaround of a country

05:32as fast as this.

05:33Even look at our border.

05:35We have nobody coming in.

05:38And you can come into our country,

05:40but you have to come in legally.

05:41But we have nobody coming in to our country.

05:44It's almost shut down.

05:46They've never seen anything like this.

05:48The Constitution limits a president to two terms.

05:52Is it your understanding that they have to be—

05:54Well, I don't even want to talk about it.

05:56I'm just telling you,

05:57I've had more people say, please run again.

06:01I said, we have a long way to go before we even think about that.

06:04But I've had a lot of people.

06:09do you think that's an appropriate precedent to set,

06:11even if it wasn't you in this position,

06:14to see a president serve a third term?

06:23we've got a long time to go.

06:28and that's a long time.

06:30But despite that, so many people are saying,

06:32you've got to run again.

06:34They love the job we're doing.

06:35Most importantly, they love the job we're doing.

06:37So you said you were upset with Putin.

06:39Would you say your relationship with Vladimir Putin

06:41is at its lowest point right now?

06:43No, I don't think so.

06:44I don't think he's going to go back on his word.

06:54We've always gotten along well,

06:56despite the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax.

07:03And that really was a dangerous point.

07:06That was a very dangerous thing they did to this country.

07:08It was a pure, unadulterated scam, hoax.

07:13But, no, I think he'll be okay.

07:16But if he isn't, I was disappointed in a certain way.

07:20Some of the things that were said over the last day or two,

07:23having to do with Zelensky,

07:25because when he considers Zelensky not credible,

07:29he's supposed to be making a deal with him,

07:31whether you like him or you don't like him.

07:33So I wasn't happy with that.

07:35But I think he's going to be good.

07:38And I certainly wouldn't want to put

07:40secondary tariffs on Russia.

07:42But if they were put on, it would not be very good for that.

07:46We put secondary tariffs on, as you know, in Venezuela.

07:52And it's had a very strong impact on Venezuela.

07:55You know that every ship just got out and they left.

07:58A lot of them left.

07:59They dropped the hoses right into the ocean and they left.

08:02They didn't want to be there for a minute

08:04because they didn't want those tariffs to catch on

08:07or they didn't want me to see them there.

08:09So the Venezuelan secondary tariffs,

08:12all secondary tariffs are very strong

08:15because essentially it says if you disobey our orders,

08:19you cannot do business in the United States of America.

08:22And that's the cash cow.

08:24Would that apply to Chinese companies

08:26buying Russian oil as well if you plan to go ahead with those tariffs?

08:29So if, in the case of Venezuela, as you know,

08:32China pulled up anchor and left.

08:34They were there.

08:35They had two ships there and they left.

08:37They left empty.

08:38They didn't want to take a chance.

08:40No, we're not playing games.

09:45TikTok is very interesting.

09:48And a lot of people want to buy it.

09:50If no deal, will you extend the deadline?

09:52Well, there'll be a deal with TikTok.

09:56Is there a deadline for Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree to a ceasefire?

10:06If I think they're tapping us along, I will not be happy about it.

10:33He wants to be a member of NATO.

10:36Well, he was never going to be a member of NATO.

10:38He understands that.

10:39So if he's looking to renegotiate the deal, he's got big problems.

10:45Mr. President, have you had any more outrage from the automakers?

10:48And are you reconsidering that at all?

10:51The automakers are going to make a lot of money, the American automakers or international

10:58automakers.

11:00You're talking about they're going to build in the United States.

11:03The people that are going to make money are people that manufacture cars in the United States.

11:09Outside of the United States, that's going to be up to them.

11:12I don't care too much about that.

11:14But you have a lot of companies coming into the country to manufacture cars.

11:20As you know, the Auto Workers Union, I did great.

11:22I won Michigan by a lot.

11:25But the Auto Workers Union, they were fantastic to me.

11:28Now they're really fantastic.

11:29And even Sean Fane, who I don't know, but he obviously wasn't a supporter of mine.

11:35He's a Democrat.

11:36He said wonderful things about Donald Trump.

11:39He said, I can't believe this is finally happening.

11:42People that make, manufacture automobiles in the United States are going to make money,

11:49the likes of which they've never seen before.

11:51But beyond that, we have the computer companies, the chip companies, the pharmaceutical companies.

11:57We have lumber.

11:58We have everything.

11:59Steel.

12:00They're all going to do really well, as long as they do their product in the United States.

12:09Is that something that you're worried about, given the impact of your efforts to readjust the economy?

12:14I haven't heard that term in years.

12:16I don't know anything about it.

12:18This country is going to be more successful than it ever was.

12:22It's going to boom.

12:23We're going to have boomtown USA.

12:26We're going to boom.

12:27And many industries.

12:30And we're going to bring manufacturing and we're going to bring product.

12:33For instance, we need pharmaceuticals in our company.

12:36We don't want to be buying our pharmaceuticals from other countries because if we're in a war, we're in a problem.

12:41We want to be able to make our own.

12:43We want to bring – we have our own lumber.

12:45We have our own energy.

12:47We don't need energy from Canada.

12:49We don't need lumber from Canada.

12:51We don't need anything from Canada.

12:53We don't need cars from Canada, as an example.

12:56So, we are going to – I think we're going to have – I call it the golden age of America.

13:03I believe this will be the golden age of America.
