00:05It's a very impressive debut.
00:08It was for Mackenzie Gore of the Washington Nationals.
00:11He ended up having the most strikeouts of anybody thus far in a Major League Baseball
00:16game this season.
00:17By herself.
00:18George Mackenzie Gore will be a top 15 fantasy baseball pitcher this season.
00:24Top 15 by herself.
00:28You know, these questions are made up by Sam Yarnell, our producer,
00:32man behind the glass here, who's a Washington Nationals fan here.
00:36You ever get the feeling that he just made this where you have to say bye?
00:40All right, because top 15?
00:42Yeah, I think he'll be top 15.
00:44Come on, Sam, make it top 10, make it a little bit more interesting,
00:47maybe even top five.
00:49Yeah, I think he's got the upside to be that.
00:51Once again, he is a good pitcher anyway.
00:53Once you're a top prospect, you're pitching in a good pitcher's ballpark here.
00:57I think the upside is there for him to be much better than top 15.
01:00Top five may be pushing it, but I think he'll be inside the top 10.
01:04So yes, I am more on board than Mackenzie Gortrain.
01:07All right, yeah, I think that I am going to buy this too, man.
01:10I don't know.
01:12And again, it's not just that one start for me.
01:15I think I have the video somewhere.
01:17I was literally sitting behind home plate for one of his starts in Palm Beach.
01:21And I was like, wow, this guy's stuff looks really, really good.
01:25Yeah, I'm going to buy it too.
01:27I think he's a potential Cy Young Award candidate.
01:30As George said, you're dealing with bigger markets and bigger names
01:33with LA and some of the other teams.
01:35Arizona's got some great pitchers too.
01:37But I think he's definitely in the mix.
01:39And look, do I think he's a top two guy?
01:41No.
01:41Do I think he's a top 15 guy?
01:43Yes.
01:43I'll buy that as his season, I think, is going to be a special one for him.
01:48All right, Boston Red Sox have had a lot of positive vibes coming out of there.
01:52I mean, they got Bregman.
01:54They got a great lineup.
01:55Their young players are playing well.
01:56Campbell got off to a good start on opening day.
02:00Bray, you hit a couple of home runs.
02:02Pitching looks much better too.
02:04All of a sudden, the Red Sox are one of those teams
02:05that could be formidable this season.
02:06Could be.
02:07By yourself, George, opening day made you more optimistic about the Boston Red Sox.
02:14The American League is not like the National League, all right?
02:16The National League we know with the Dodgers are going to be great, right?
02:19They held it great already.
02:21Phillies, good team.
02:22Braves, good team.
02:23You and I both played the Arizona Diamondbacks.
02:25Good team.
02:25The Mets should make some noise as well here.
02:27The American League has no great team.
02:29I mean, really, all right, I don't really expect much on the race
02:32because of their walk-off home run win yesterday.
02:35White Sox, no.
02:36Angels, no.
02:37Athletics are improving but probably not going to compete.
02:40Everybody else I can make an argument for that they could win here.
02:43I already said I think the Red Sox win with division.
02:45I have money on the Red Sox to win the division.
02:48How much more optimistic can I be about them?
02:50Because they won on opening day?
02:52So it's just a weird question to me because I like the Red Sox.
02:56I have a ticket on them to win the American League East.
02:57I think they are a good team.
02:58I think right now they might be the team that represents the American League
03:01in the World Series.
03:03Am I more optimistic about them?
03:04No, not because they won on opening day.
03:07So I'll sell this even though I think they are,
03:09they might be that team to beat in the American League.
03:13Yeah, I'm going to buy.
03:13Yeah, I'm going to buy the Red Sox.
03:15And again, Roman Anthony is potentially coming too.
03:19I mean, this is supposedly a can't-miss prospect.
03:22They get Bayo back.
03:23I'm never, you know, huge on Jelito.
03:24But pitching looks good.
03:27I mean, Buehler could be a factor as Devers is okay.
03:30Along with this offense that they have, Tristan Kassus, yeah, I'm going to buy.
03:34I think the Red Sox are a playoff team.
03:35So could give the Yankees some problems.
03:38Never a team that's afraid to add players as Boston as well.
03:42So really, you know, positive vibes I would say thus far for the Red Sox.
03:47All right, Eddie Machado is your major league leader in stolen bases this season.
03:52And he has the most in the National League.
03:53A lot of guys are tied with two.
03:56But this is a little bit of a surprise considering the track record of Machado,
03:59even going back to his younger days.
04:02Buy or sell, Manny Machado will steal, this is a high number,
04:0420-plus bases this season, Sam.
04:07I think he set this a little high.
04:10He's only hit 20 once in his career, all right?
04:14And that was in 2015.
04:17All right, that's 10 years ago.
04:19It's a hot start.
04:21Maybe they're planning on running more and it's an organizational thing
04:24and we're going to find out about it.
04:25Fine.
04:26I'm going to have to sell this.
04:28It's a hot start, great.
04:30Love to see him.
04:31Listen, I've got him on a fancy team too, so I love to see the bases.
04:33As I mentioned over and over again, I generally have problems with stolen bases.
04:36So love to see it.
04:37But once again, I go by track record.
04:40And my track record tells you, no.
04:42All right, he hasn't stolen 20.
04:43He's stolen 20 pretty much combined the past four years.
