International referees to officiate in PVL All-Filipino Conference semis  To ensure fairness, the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) includes international referees to call the games during the PVL 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference semifinals. PVL Commissioner Sherwin Malonzo told media that Thai referee Adams Wong will be the first referee in Choco Mucho and Akari’s clash. During the 2024 1st All-Filipino Conference, Petro Gazz called out officiating lapses after losing to the Creamline Cool Smashers that was blamed on a controversial call.   Video by Nicole Anne D.G. 00:00As promised, before we started the conference, we decided to get neutral referees from ABC.

00:10So these are international referees, one from Thailand and one from Hong Kong.

00:15Mr. Adam Swong from Hong Kong and then Ms. Sari.

00:20It's a bit hard to pronounce her name, Ms. Sari from Thailand.

00:26And then they'll be helping us with officiating.

00:31So the good thing about this is they don't have a team they know.

00:36They don't have a coach they know.

00:38I think we know one coach, but that's about it.

00:41So it's good to have neutral referees.

00:44I think hopefully the teams will see that we're not being stopped.

00:51For one, we want to be world-class.

01:00We're hoping we go to that level.

01:03And at the same time, these neutral referees, they don't have a team they know.

01:12So in terms of being stopped, we're not being stopped, but I hope they don't get that notion.

01:20And then that's why we brought them in to reinforce that we're not being stopped.
