00:00The government maintains that it does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International

00:05Criminal Court or the ICC in the Philippines.

00:08This was the palace's response when asked if the government would cooperate with the

00:11ICC regarding the request for interim release of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

00:17The palace pointed out that Duterte's camp itself had urged the Supreme Court not to

00:21cooperate with the ICC.

00:23The government also clarified that if Duterte is granted interim release, his camp must

00:28be prepared for the implications should the Philippines choose to comply with ICC's guidelines

00:33and asserted that the government is not withholding information but adhering to legal protocols.

00:39Meanwhile, the palace welcomed the National Bureau of Investigations or NBI cooperation

00:44with Interpol to track individuals abroad spreading fake news about the issue.

00:49So it means that if we will not cooperate with the ICC, even that prayer or even that

00:56manifestation of the ICC, we will not take cognizance of that.
