Transcript
00:00I think we've kind of thrown caution to the wind and that's a very dangerous thing.
00:07People have to understand that this virus hasn't gone anywhere, it's still very much
00:10out there.
00:12Well, obviously, you're most concerned for your family at that point of time, your personal
00:19health takes a backseat.
00:22You know, I have aged parents, my father was 78 when he got it, and my wife and my daughter
00:26got it as well, they were in hospital, we were all in hospital together.
00:29You're most concerned for your family members more than yourself.
00:33But I also feel that as time has gone on, we somehow maybe have become a bit too lax
00:39about the virus, hence the rise in the amount of cases that's going up exponentially day
00:45by day.
00:47And I think the kind of discipline that we showed a good six, eight months ago, is waning.
00:52And that's very sad.
00:54And it's something that shouldn't be happening.
00:55People have to understand that this virus hasn't gone anywhere, it's still very much
00:59out there.
01:00And you know, just to continuously look at the powers to be and say, what are you doing
01:07about it?
01:08I mean, let's look within, what are we doing about it?
01:12Are we wearing our masks whenever we're in public?
01:14Are we maintaining social distance in public?
01:17Are we maintaining hand hygiene when we go out?
01:21These are all things that we need to ask ourselves as well.
01:23And obviously the answer, if you look at the kind of cases that are rising, the answer
01:27is no, we're not.
01:29As citizens of society, I think we've kind of thrown caution to the wind, and that's
01:35a very dangerous thing.
01:37And I keep saying, we have to be vigilant.
01:40We have to be careful.
01:41You don't want to do it for yourself if you think you're indestructible, fair enough,
01:46that's your personal choice.
01:47Do it for your family, man, trust me, you don't want to see your parent or your wife
01:51or your child.
01:52And well, I have, it's not a pleasant experience.
