00:00The Department of Foreign Affairs called on Filipinos not to believe job offers in Thailand

00:06that do not have a contract or working visa.

00:08The statement was made by DFA Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega

00:12after some Filipinos in Thailand were victims of human trafficking.

00:17This is Gabriel Legas of PTV in Panitang Pambansa.

00:21Officials of the government themselves

00:24contacted 176 Filipino victims of human trafficking in Myanmar.

00:30On Wednesday, 5.16 am,

00:33Philippine Airlines Flight PR 8502 from Bangkok, Thailand,

00:38landed at Naya Terminal 1.

00:39The government helped the victims.

00:42Psychological services, financial and legal aid from the whole of government team

00:48formed by the Department of Foreign Affairs,

00:51Department of Migrant Workers, Bureau of Immigration,

00:54Department of Social Welfare and Development,

00:56Department of Health, National Bureau of Investigation,

00:59Department of Justice, and Naya Task Force Against Trafficking.

01:03Each of them received P50,000 financial aid from the DMW Action Fund

01:09and P10,000 from OWA.

01:12They were also referred to the reintegration programs

01:15and top-skilling training of the DMW through TESDA

01:18to help them start again.

01:20On Tuesday, the 30 Filipino victims of human trafficking in the country

01:24arrived in the country first.

01:27The DFA and DMW reminded to be careful

01:31against suspicious job offers on social media.

01:35Don't believe job offers in Thailand

01:40where there is no contract, no working visa.

01:43That job is prohibited in Thailand if there is no working visa.

01:46If you want to leave without a working visa,

01:49you need to go to the Licensed Recruitment Agency of the DMW.

01:54KAKNAK added,

01:55be careful with illegal recruitment agencies,

01:58especially in the ASEAN region that is visa-free.

02:01It's easy to leave even if you only have a passport.

02:04KALIHIM also clarified that for tourism,

02:07ASEAN member states are visa-free and not for working.

02:11DMW added,

02:24To see if the recruitment agency is legitimate,

02:28visit www.dmw.gov.ph

02:32and report to the Illegal Recruitment Agency of the DMW

02:37at 02-8721-0619.
