00:05Every act, I feel different.

00:09You know, personally.

00:11Sometimes, I really want to show that I'm very talented.

00:14But sometimes, when I face you,

00:16you're not that extraordinary.

00:20But, wow!

00:21The charm, the sense of humor,

00:25really magnetizes the audience.

00:27So that, in other words,

00:29I cannot really pinpoint what I am looking for.

00:33Most of the time, it's gut feeling.

00:35And most of the time, I go to the basic,

00:37which is,

00:38Do you enjoy watching?

00:40You know, like that.

00:41So, that's what I think.

00:44That's what I observed

00:46from the past tapings that we already have.

00:55Let's start with the first one.

00:57My personal criteria,

00:59just for me, myself.

01:01I think,

01:03of course, the first one is the uniqueness.

01:05Because this is season 7.

01:07So, a lot has happened in our Philippines.

01:10Especially, FMG has been here since season 1.

01:14And, he's the one telling us,

01:16like, I've seen this.

01:17And we're just new here.

01:19So, when I say uniqueness,

01:21it can be singing,

01:23but it's like your own flavor.

01:25It can be dancing as a group,

01:26or dancing individually.

01:28But, what is the talent that,

01:30even if I watch it now,

01:32and 5 years from now,

01:34this is the kind of performance that I will never forget.

01:37And the kind of performance that,

01:39I can watch it 5 years from now,

01:43and I'll still be amazed.

01:44That's hard.

01:45Because, right, a lot of people can sing,

01:47dance,

01:48or whatever acts that,

01:49even if we're surprised,

01:51they can do it.

01:52But, it's like, it's hard to have a performance

01:55that will stand out to you,

01:56and a performance that will represent the Philippines.

02:01So, it's really hard.

02:02And second, maybe, is the uniqueness,

02:04and then, of course, talent.

02:06We're looking for all kinds of talent,

02:08whatever it is.

02:09And, even us, the judges,

02:11we're surprised that,

02:13each and every Filipino's talent,

02:15all the crazy things that became talent,

02:18it's so interesting to watch.

02:20So, every time we're here to tape,

02:22it's like we're,

02:23I thought it was just chill,

02:25since we're in the studio.

02:27But, it's draining,

02:29emotionally, all emotions.

02:31It's like, you can talk to everyone,

02:33and it's different when you're up there,

02:35and you can see it up close,

02:37those who perform.

02:38And lastly, maybe, I'm looking for,

02:41maybe, your passion?

02:43Just like us, artists, right?

02:46Others, maybe,

02:47if, yes, you have the talent,

02:48but, it really,

02:49it's like,

02:50the fire within you,

02:51your passion,

02:52is different.

02:53So, we feel that,

02:54if you're just doing it

02:55for the sake of winning,

02:56for the money,

02:57or if you're just doing it

02:58for the sake of trending,

03:00or you're showing your talent

03:02because you want to showcase

03:04world-class Filipino talent,

03:06then that's different.

03:07So, for me, a unique talent,

03:09then that's a champion.

03:10So, I'm looking for those three things.

03:15That's amazing.

03:18First of all,

03:19before I answer the question,

03:20I want to say that

03:21the trailer is beautiful.

03:22It's our first time watching it.

03:25They're not showing it to us

03:26because they want a surprise.

03:41it's what type of performance

03:46The type of performance

03:47that after you watch it,

03:50your environment will shift

03:52to that type of performance.

03:54Because we see a lot of talent,

03:56and sometimes,

03:57it goes beyond that.

03:58You look at the charisma,

03:59you look at the personality,

04:00you look at how they conduct themselves.

04:02So, I think we're also looking within.

04:05What we see is

04:07how bad their fire is.

04:14How bad do they want this?

04:16Like that.

04:17Because we also see a lot of talent

04:18whose fire is okay.

04:21So, there's a lot that goes into it.

04:25And we always talk about it

04:26as judges or even with the hosts

04:29to even answer your second question.

04:31What's the feeling that

04:33we have a sort of power or say

04:35in becoming the next big thing

04:38or the winner of this contest?

04:41Of course, it's a very big responsibility.

04:44But I think,

04:45because everyone here

04:47is really putting in all of their efforts

04:50to really come up with

04:51the best possible way,

04:53we can fairly judge and critique

04:56all these contestants.

04:58I think the production did a good job

05:01in making sure that

05:02everyone here has a fair chance.

05:06And here, since it's my first time at BGT,

05:12this is where I really saw

05:14that Filipino talent is different.

05:16That you really need to see the world stage.

05:18So, that's what I'm hoping for.

05:20That's the heart of the show.

05:22So, yeah.

05:23And it's been a crazy experience so far.

05:26The most intense thing is

05:29we'll never know

05:31who we'll see

05:33to walk out of this stage.

05:34And that's what makes it so cool.

05:36So, just to be part of this,

05:38it's truly a blessing.

05:42And of course, surprisingly,

05:43our new judges are really good.

05:48For one, I've been judging for the last 6 years

05:51and this is the 7th year.

05:52I'm really jaded.

05:54I've seen everything.

05:55It's so difficult for me

05:58to look for that right talent

06:01that would make a difference.

06:03But, definitely, there's only one word

06:07that would describe

06:08the wow factor

06:10when you meet them.

06:11You know,

06:12this is it.

06:13Which they describe in so many words.

06:16How the room will change with Donnie.

06:19Right?

06:20How it affects you.

06:21But, it's really hard to judge.

06:24And these people are so nice

06:26that they're kind to the talents.

06:29That when they're there,

06:31they're still approaching them.

06:33As a result, you'll fall again.

06:36So, I love working with these people.
