00:05I've just been putting the finishing touches on the footy magazine for this year.

00:09We're playing the league starts this week.

00:12Who are you tipping to win at Georgia?

00:14This season I'm tipping Key West Sandy Creek to be premiers again.

00:19After missing out last season, obviously, to Chilton,

00:22I think they're going to come back pretty determined.

00:26What about you?

00:27I think it could be a big night for the Hawks grand final and they could get the double.

00:31The double?

00:32Yep, I'm on the Hawks bandwagon.

00:34They're recruited well.

00:35They've got Cooper Daly, Spencer Jones, which will add to their midfield,

00:39and Guy Telford back.

00:41It'll be interesting to see what impact he can have up forward for them.

00:45The last three years it's been heartache.

00:48Two losing grand finals.

00:50I lost the preliminary final last year.

00:53I think their hunger could be the difference when they get out to Sandy Creek again this year.

00:57Yep, it sounds like the netballers and the footballers are all hungry.

01:01Yeah.

01:03Who's the big improver in the netball?

01:05A big improver?

01:07I think coming off the back of last season,

01:09Wigania was a big improver.

01:11I think they went from near the bottom to just missing out on finals.

01:15I think that they have the potential to push for finals again this season.

01:21Also, Dedering making finals for the first time last season in over 20 years.

01:27I think if they can make finals again, that would be a pretty big achievement for them.

01:31Yep.

01:32What about you? Who do you see?

01:34I think Midder can play finals if everything goes right.

01:40They've got one of the best recruits in the competition in time and tournament.

01:44They'll be well coached by Bo Packer.

01:47After not having played finals since 2018, we'll be hungry to get back out there to Sandy Creek.

01:53You've mentioned a few, but who have been some of the best recruits this season?

01:59It's hard to go past Elliot Powell.

02:02He played a bit of cat and mouse tactics by telling everyone he's retired

02:06and then announces he's back at Talangata on the eve of the season.

02:11Dedering's pain will be Talangata's gain.

02:15He'll feature heavily on Barton Metal Night.

02:20Another big signing is Braden O'Hara.

02:23Being there, done that, it's interesting how well he can go in the Talangata League.

02:35And how could you forget Marty Brennan?

02:38Marty Brennan, a lavvy premiership player, hasn't played much footy in the last two years,

02:44but he's only 28 and he should just dominate the competition as well.

02:48Who are the names to look out for in the netball?

02:51As far as recruits this season, I think he or Sandy Creek have picked up

02:56probably one of the most impressive with Sarah Jones coming from Albury.

03:00She's going to be really handy and it's going to be hard to beat Kiwa's defensive end this season.

03:07I think they're going to be very strong defensively.

03:09Another one is Jamie Sanderlands who's come in for Chilton.

03:13He's played for other Glenn previously and spent some time in the O&M as well.

03:17So yeah, they should bolster those sides.

03:21Yep, it's going to be interesting how it all unfolds.
