00:02Hi, I'm Brent Goodie.

00:04We've just been putting the finishing touches on the footy magazine for this year,

00:08coming out in the next week or so.

00:10And we start with the Hume League.

00:12And Georgia, who have you tipped to take out the netball this year?

00:16This season I'm tipping Howlog.

00:18I'm tipping that it's going to be third time lucky for the Spiders

00:21after coming so close the last two years,

00:23and especially last season going into overtime.

00:26So they're my tip for this season.

00:28But what about you both?

00:30Yeah, it's impossible to go past Osborne.

00:33They've probably improved their list, probably two or three better goal side.

00:39And they've lost three games in three years,

00:43and they're a big chance to go through this season undefeated, I feel.

00:47Very nice.

00:49And who are you tipping to be the biggest improver this season?

00:52Yeah, it's Howlog.

00:54They've recruited well.

00:56They're coached well by Matty McDonald.

00:59And they probably underachieved last season.

01:01And if things click, I can see them making a grand final.

01:05And what about the netball?

01:07Who's the big improver in the netting?

01:08I'd say the big improver in the netball would be Bilbon Crows this season.

01:12They've got Beck O'Connell back on board as coach,

01:15and they've got the Maloney sisters,

01:17all four of them will be out there this season joining Paige.

01:20So yeah, I think the Crows will be up there around finals time.

01:25Yeah, I'm related to the Maloney, so I hope they can take it out.

01:30Oh, that's good. We'll see you there at a game then, will we?

01:33Maybe.

01:34So who will be some of the big recruits during the off-season?

01:38Well, everyone loves a big man,

01:40and Howlong's got one of the best in the business in Tim Hanna.

01:45Premiership ruckman at Lavie.

01:47I don't think he's going to have to ruck a lot, and he could play forward,

01:50and he'll have a big say in how far the Sporters go this year.

01:55And who's the biggest signing in the netball this year?

01:58There's been a couple,

02:00but both Jindra and Howlong have picked up Aubrey Tigers players.

02:04So Jindra have got Justine Willis from the Tigers,

02:08and then Howlong have got Heidi Fisher as well.

02:11So they were teammates, and now they'll be playing against each other this season.

02:15Interesting.

02:17If you had to pick a dark horse this season, who would it be?

02:21The feel-good story is Billabong Crows.

02:25They've got their 20-year anniversary of their merger this year.

02:29They played finals most recently in 2019,

02:34and they recruited well.

02:36They're up and about,

02:38and if things click, they could pinch a finals birth.

02:43Can you see any outsiders making an impact in the netball this year?

02:47I think a team that's pretty hard to predict this season is Brockburn.

02:52They've got quite a few past players coming back into the side,

02:56so it'll be interesting to see how they go,

02:58and they might surprise a few teams.
