00:00I was cornered from in front of me with Mr. Zeminski and there were...
00:08I was cornered.
00:22Not guilty.
00:23No justice, no peace, no racists, no leaves.
00:53I'm on your side as long as you're against the cops, but you can't burn down your local
01:51community.
01:54In whose name was the gun purchased?
01:57Mine.
01:58So you were the legal registered owner of the gun?
02:01Yes.
02:02Where did the money come from to get that gun?
02:03Kyle.
02:04I am an EMT.
02:05If you are injured, come to me.
02:08I'm not an EMT.
02:10You're not a certified EMT.
02:12You're not an EMT of any kind.
02:14You weren't on that night, correct?
02:20No.
02:29He had been acting very belligerently.
02:38He had asked, very bluntly, to shoot him.
02:44That's Antifa, man.
02:47We got a gun, baby.
02:49Oh!
02:55When Mr. Rosenbaum lunged, Mr. Rittenhouse kind of dodged around.
03:04And then that's when it was leveled at Mr. Rosenbaum and fired.
03:08More people were pointing out the defendant, saying that he had just shot somebody, that
03:14he's trying to get away, get him, things of that nature.
03:19So after the defendant had re-racked his weapon,
03:46with the rifle still aimed at me, in that moment I felt that I had to do something to try and prevent myself from being killed, or being shot, or killed.
04:01And so I decided that the best course of action would be to close the distance between the defendant and I.
04:08You're already labeled as a white supremacist gun person. You have to look at your safety and stuff like that.
04:20Can you stop talking mom?
04:22Okay.
04:38The word victim is outmoded.
05:07Victim is a loaded, loaded word. And I think alleged victim is a cousin to it.
05:19He's going to have to show that at the time he was in reasonable fear of his life, and that his use of force was reasonable under the circumstances.
05:30Out of the hundreds of people that came to Kenosha during that week, the hundreds of people that were out on the streets that week,
05:37the evidence will show that the only person who killed anyone was the defendant, Kyle Rittenhouse.
05:45Kyle Rittenhouse protected himself, protected his firearm so it couldn't be taken, used against him, or other people from Mr. Rosenbaum who'd made threats to kill.
05:57And the other individuals who didn't see that shooting attacked him in the street like an animal.
06:07That night you intended to kill, correct?
06:10I didn't intend to kill them. I intended to stop the people who were attacking me.
06:16By killing them?
06:19I did what I had to do to stop the person who was attacking me.
06:31I was astonished when you began your examination by commenting on the defendant's post-arrest silence.
06:39Let's hope for one o'clock. I don't know, hopefully Asian food isn't coming, isn't on one of those boats in Long Beach Harbor.
07:01You cannot hide behind self-defense if you provoked the incident.
07:06If you created the danger, you forfeit the right to self-defense.
07:10By bringing that gun, aiming it at people, threatening people's lives, the defendant provoked everything.
07:18Kyle Rittenhouse shot Mr. Rosenbaum because he was attacking Kyle.
07:23Every person who was shot was attacking Kyle.
