00:00If I could deliver a message to the next generation of women, it would be to stop giving a shit

00:14what other people think of you.

00:16We make decisions too often based on that, and I understand why, but I think when we

00:24start to just live for ourselves and be a little bit more selfish, I think we'll lead

00:30more fulfilling lives.

00:31And so I think what we need to do, I think, is stare at ourselves in the mirror a little

00:35bit longer and really own who we are and not try to be what we think others want us to

00:42be.

00:43Lorraine Hansberry is someone who I really admire, and she found a piece of truth, wrote

00:49it unapologetically and put it into the world and didn't care how people received it.

00:55And so that's always the mission, is to try to always be in that space of making work

01:01that is honest and true and good to me.

01:04And then if people like it, great.

01:05If not, at least I got it out.
