00:00I'm running for Senate because it shouldn't be like this.

00:11Now I'm running for Congress against any bar in my home state of Kentucky.

00:15He's Mitch McConnell's hand-picked congressman who said he would vote

00:18enthusiastically to take health care away from over a quarter million

00:21Kentuckians.

00:26When I was 13, my congressman told me I couldn't fly in combat.

00:30He said Congress thought women ought to be protected

00:33and not allowed to serve in combat.

00:36I never got a letter back from my Senator Mitch McConnell.

00:39I then wrote every member of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees

00:42asking them to change the law. Then I got into the Naval Academy and wouldn't you know,

00:46that's when they changed the law. I spent 20 years as a U.S. Marine, flew 89 combat

00:51missions bombing al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

01:14I was the first woman Marine to fly in an F-18 in combat

01:18and I got to land on aircraft carriers. Some are telling me a Democrat can't win that battle in Kentucky.

01:23That we can't take back our country for my kids and yours.
