Sugar consumption in the U.S.

Americans consume the most amount of sugar of anyone in the world — and they may not even know it.

01:37About 35% of the sugars that Americans consume come from beverages, but we're also talking

01:42about salad dressings and ketchup and, you know, breads and cereals and crackers, and

01:47the list goes on and on, even to beef and turkey jerky.

01:50For 150 pounds of sugar a year we're consuming, we should be consuming only 20.
