00:32Holy s***! I'm f***ing getting away, guys.

00:46He's inside the building right now.

00:57We were single file. Somebody had their hand on my back, I had my hand on somebody's back,

01:03and we were just saying, go, go, go, run.

01:05Once I called my mom and said I was okay and let her know what was happening,

01:08and she... it all kind of sunk in, and I started panicking.

01:26He's served in numerous roles supporting the Boulder Police Department and the community of

01:44Boulder, and I have to tell you, the heroic action of this officer when he responded to this scene,

01:52he was the first on the scene, and he was fatally shot.

02:06We have one suspect in custody. I want to reassure the community that they are safe

02:13and that we will try to do our best over the next few hours to identify the victims.

02:23And if you had suggested to anyone behind me or in this room that within 20 years and 20 miles,

02:42we would have dealt with Columbine, Aurora Theater, Arapahoe High School, the shooting

02:50of Zach Parrish and four other deputies, we'd have thought you mad.
