00:00Pride for me is health care, it's housing, it's safety, it's medical care, it's the right to play, it's all of those things.
00:07People continue to be murdered and beaten up in the most extreme case and I guess in a lesser case being discriminated against,
00:15whether that's at work or their families or at home.
00:19I think that it's easy to fall into, oh things are so much better and we've progressed so much,
00:28but in a lot of ways we haven't, for a lot of people we haven't.
00:32And I think just not to lose sight of what pride is.
00:36Pride is trans women rioting against the police for safety and for being able to live who they are
00:45and to be able to be in their communities and just live their lives.
00:49For me pride needs to be all year round, I think if we don't do the work the other 11 months of the year,
00:55you don't get the right to celebrate.
