00:00All different age groups hold hands, father and sons hold hands, friends hold hands. It's

00:19just really lovely, beautiful, you know, human connection that, you know, men in India do,

00:23which is, you know, a bit of contrast to Western society where we don't really show any of

00:29the affection towards our friends, you know, men.

00:47After taking the shot, I'd say to them, you know, why do you hold hands? And they'd look

00:50at me like I was silly, saying like, we're best friends, you know, why wouldn't we hold

00:54hands, which is lovely.

01:14It's quite interesting that it happens in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, but then as

01:18you come towards, you know, the Western societies, it seems to stop. I was kind of like just

01:24putting the whole thing on a mirror to the Western society as well, saying, look what

01:27we've lost.

01:28The middle classes, they don't hold hands so much anymore, maybe because they're looking

01:41towards the West maybe a bit more, I don't really know. I'm still exploring the whole

01:45phenomenon really.

01:56It's sad that we don't do it in Western society. Maybe the project can help free up some ideas

02:01about all that.
