Smartphone addiction is real—and it has a name.

00:24Some of my friends, they have to sleep with their phone, just in case they get a text
00:43message in the middle of the night.
00:46So yeah, I think it's a phobia.
01:00Basically the technology will run you if you don't allow it, because your brain gets rewards
01:06every time you go on the technology.
01:36You can't think when you're addicted, you live for your addiction.
01:47And the underlying problem, I think, with selfies, to the extent that they are a problem,
01:51is that they represent a kind of emptiness, a kind of need to be seen and heard and recognized
01:57and remembered.
