President Obama on White House press secretary

In case someone is looking for a new White House press secretary, we dusted off this video to help write the job advertisement.

00:00He was tough and he didn't always give you guys everything he wanted.

00:14But he was always prepared. He was always courteous.

00:19He always tried to make sure that he could share with you as much of our thinking

00:24and our policy and our vision as possible.

00:30Then the guy's name is Josh Earnest.

00:33Which, if somebody's speaking on your behalf, is a pretty good name to have.

00:40But what struck me most, in addition to his smarts and his maturity

00:47and his actual interest in the issues, was his integrity.

00:56If you're the President of the United States and you find out that this is the guy

00:59who has been voted the most popular Press Secretary ever by the White House Press Corps,

01:05that may make you a little nervous.

01:07But the fact is, is that he was worthy of that admiration.
