Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde responded to comedian Kunal Kamra's controversial joke, stating, "We understand satire, but there should be a limit."

00:47to insult Honourable Prime Minister of India, if you are going to insult Hindus, Gods and

00:54Goddesses, it is not tolerable, you cannot behave like this in Maharashtra or in India.

01:07Pula Deshpande, but this is not kind of comedy which will be tolerated in Maharashtra.

01:44Well, of course, the Shiv Sena and Eknath Shinde not taking it lightly, you know, though

01:52Kamra said that he will not apologize for what he has said, but then of course, the

01:58Shiv Sena and Eknath Shinde believe that, you know, he has taken a stand which is, you

02:05know, which seems like someone as they call in their very colloquial language, the Supari

02:11and from the UBT Sena and speaking their language and that's something that is not acceptable

02:17to the Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena and that's the reason why we saw this entire rampage

02:22that happened at the habitat where this entire shoot had been done and of course, you know,

02:29the prosecution that Kamra will now be facing because of this entire incident, there are

02:35two FIRs that have been registered against him, one at the MIDC police station and the

02:39other at the Khar police station itself.

02:41So, you know, in both these cases, we will be seeing, you know, that the police will

02:46try to, you know, get hold of Kamra, he is not in Mumbai right now, he is in a location

02:52that Shiv Sena claimed is in south of India, but we'll really have to see whether, you

02:57know, what really happens in these two FIRs that are registered against him now.
