Kunal Kamra's 'Traitor' joke leads to outrage in Maharashtra, vandals detained

Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra's performance in Maharashtra led to vandalism after he made controversial remarks about Eknath Shinde. Police detained Sena workers and booked 20 people for vandalising the venue.

00:10comedian Kunal Kamra had performed and a joke and in many ways words that were used against

00:18Eknath Shinde has led to trouble.

00:20Cops have detained some of the vandals who had indulged in that vandalism you can see

00:26at the venue where he had performed.

00:29It was a joke so to say but some very strong words used against Eknath Shinde including

00:35words like traitor and how he has divided the Shiv Sena, the government and more.

00:43Cops have detained one Sena youth leader as well for alleged vandalism, 20 people in total

00:48have been booked.

00:49Kamra's gaddar joke has led to outrage, Shinde Sena leader is not happy, they have been threatening

00:55him.

00:56The public has vandalised the venue and filed a case on Kunal Kamra.

01:00Now, Kunal Kamra is no stranger to controversy but this time because he has spoken on Deputy

01:05CM Eknath Shinde who many from his party are defending him saying he is the man who has

01:10come up from sheer hard work and has won as well by people's mandate.

01:34which was vandalised where the Sena workers went on a rampage.

01:38What are the Sena leaders and the workers so angry about?

01:41Any statement from Kunal Kamra and how is the police proceeding with this?

01:45Well, yes I am at the hotel and where exactly, the ground floor actually has a hotel and

01:53on the first floor was a studio which was actually the main target of the Shiv Sena.

01:57If I can just show you around, you know this entire hotel also has been ransacked.

02:02You can see the hotel's doors have actually been, have come off, the glass of the reception

02:09has also been broken.

02:12Apart from that, the studio upstairs where finally the ransacking really happened, that's

02:18also in damages right now and in fact you can see a whole lot of police deployment right

02:23here to make sure that none of these incidences get repeated again.

02:29But of course as of now, the Shiv Sena have also been detained.

02:33The Mumbai police trying to make sure that those who have been, you know, though there's

02:37a case against Kunal Kamra also being filed is what we have been told, but a case against

02:42those who ransacked the hotel and the studio, that is also being registered.
