Lisa Barlow Reveals Whether She'd Ever Go on 'The Traitors'

'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' star Lisa Barlow details how being a 'Housewife' has changed her, how she's coping with her son, Jack, being away on his Mission and whether we'll see her on the cast of 'The Traitors' in the future.

00:00I feel like being a housewife is like being on an NBA team.

00:03Very few are picked and so many people wish it were their job

00:07and, you know, something they got to do and showcase their lives.

00:11So I think it's crazy that I'm an O.G.

00:13now. It's been five years. We're going into year six.

00:16They go to bed counting Lisa Barlows in their sleep.

00:18Like instead of counting sheep, it's Lisa Barlows.

00:20I do clean. I do love to clean for me.

00:23Like cleaning is so therapeutic.

00:25I can think of a million things I'd rather be doing than cooking,

00:28like clipping my toenails,

00:31picking up dog poop or like scrubbing the toilets.

00:34You know, Clorox did a study.

00:35They were like, what feels better, cleaning or petting puppies

00:38or cleaning and getting a massage?

00:40And definitely cleanings right out there.

00:43I love that. He left on his mission two years ago.

00:46We get to pick him up and like just under two and a half months.

00:49And we're going to go to Columbia.

00:51We're going to go to Bogota, grab him and bring him home.

00:54But we get to talk to him every Monday on a FaceTime, which is great.

00:58Oh, she declined it.

00:59And like if there's a big moment happening or a holiday or something special,

01:03he gets to call home.

01:05But we can't wait to see him.

01:06I need him home.

01:07The first week he left, I would go in his bedroom and like lay on his bed and cry.

01:11I just felt for you.

01:12And I just I feel like I feel for me too.

01:15And make him videos about like how much I missed him

01:18and how bad I wanted to come home already.

01:20And I think as time goes on, you like acclimate to your new normal.

01:23Henry loves being an only child.

01:26He loves being with me and John.

01:27He could hang out with us like all day.

01:29He loves going on trips with us to dinner with us.

01:31So I think it's been like really special to have that alone time with Henry.

01:35The first seven years of Jack's life, he had us all to himself.

01:38And now like the seven last years before Henry turns 18 and goes into the world,

01:43like we have him alone.

01:44So it's been kind of fun.

01:46I would do it.

01:47But based on the conditions, I'd need to definitely bring

01:50all of the clerks disinfecting wipes, like toilet brushes, like all the things.

01:55I think it's so different than housewives.

01:57You know, you're playing a game.

01:58And I think I'm a very straightforward person.

02:00Mary can go f**k herself.

02:01I'm done with her because I'm not a f**king whore.

02:03And I don't cheat on my husband.

02:04We're in a dumb f**king family that poses.

02:07Why don't you own a house when you can't?

02:09I would hope I would do well.

02:10I don't know. I wouldn't be a traitor.

02:11I don't think.

02:12You're in a glass box.

02:13So you like give up your privacy when you become a housewife.

02:16So I think it makes you resilient.

02:18I think that there's lessons to be learned from everything you do.

02:21And, um, I think it makes you stronger, probably a little more

02:26closed off than I used to be.

02:28I still talk to everyone, like in the grocery store, you know, what I really

02:31want to learn how to make is eggs.

02:33Like when I'm shopping, if I'm like getting, you know, my Wendy's, I still

02:37talk to like everybody when I'm out.

02:39But what I share is probably very different.

02:42And I just think that I have good intentions in my relationships and it's

02:46different because not everybody does.

02:48Well, I'm a big supporter of women.

02:50So I would keep everyone, but the one that's the nastiest to women.

02:54So Monica, you would have to go.

02:56I just got sent and like tagged in a real someone made.

02:59And there's some, I forgot about, but probably I deserve presents for

03:03breathing.

03:04Like I deserve presents for nothing.

03:07Just for breathing.

03:08I don't even think they're iconic or one-liners when I'm saying I'm like baby

03:12gorgeous.

03:13Like, that's just what I call Henry.

03:17You know, and I'm like angel baby, baby gorgeous.

03:19And it was like crazy that people gravitated to that.

03:22I just am being me.

03:24And I think when you're just being yourself, that's probably the easiest

03:28way to do anything.

03:29I don't ever talk about my age.

03:31My birthday, my birthday, my birthday.

03:35It's so weird that my kids keep getting older and I don't, but I will tell you

03:39this, Andy Cohen, season two reunion.

03:42I walked out.

03:42I was like first chair and I was going to get annihilated and he asked my age and I

03:47always make myself older when I'm doing stuff, because then people will be like,

03:51Oh, you look so good for your age.

03:53And so I did that and I was expecting her to be like, wow, you look so good for your

03:56age.

03:56And then he was like, yeah, she's this age.

03:58And I was like, holy crap.

03:59He's sending that to the press.

04:01But nobody knows my real age.

04:03I'll tell you when it's an important birthday, you will see a huge party.
