00:10How does it feel to be here in the UK for the FanFest?

00:14Because honestly, everyone is so giddy about you guys being here.

00:18It's so fun.

00:19You know, BravoCon is so amazing in the States.

00:22And the first ever BravoCon, they announced our show.

00:26So now that we're with Hey You in London,

00:29I feel like it's next level.

00:30Yeah.

00:31It's great to know that we have so many fans across the pond,

00:36as we say.

00:36Yeah.

00:37So with Hey You, it's going to be great to have all of our fans

00:40get to watch our shows simultaneously.

00:44It's perfect.

00:45And obviously, people are obsessed with you guys

00:48and this franchise and this show.

00:50Rightly so.

00:51So what is it like when they come up to you,

00:53like when they see you?

00:54What is those experiences like?

00:56I mean, it's fun.

00:57Cool.

00:58It's wonderful.

00:59I'm always grateful when people say hi and they're so kind.

01:02They say, hey you.

01:03Yeah, hey you.

01:04Hey you, I get that.

01:06I love that.

01:08And what's it been like, this whole journey for you

01:10to be a part of this franchise?

01:12Because I was speaking to Andy earlier,

01:14and The Real Housewives is global now.

01:16It's a global brand, right?

01:18Can you believe it?

01:19I can, because everybody loves it.

01:21But how has it been for you?

01:22Because I guess it's been a journey as well.

01:24Yeah, it's a cool journey.

01:26And when you find out you're airing in South America

01:28and in London and in Australia, it's

01:31so cool to know the reach is so vast

01:34and that people relate to you.

01:36It's always surprising to me to see who will come up to me

01:39and say, oh, this resonated with me

01:41or, oh, that made me feel like a different way or a better way.

01:44So it's kind of interesting.

01:45I love it.

01:46I think we have a lot of impact.

01:49And it's like a big break for people.

01:53Yeah, it's really fun.

01:54I think the show is difficult to do because of the relationships

01:58that you have to work on.

02:01And sometimes they're really great relationships.

02:03Sometimes they're very hard.

02:05But we have such a wonderful platform for me personally,

02:09being able to talk about suicide,

02:11but then also be a help to women through divorce,

02:16then also to be an entrepreneur and to show

02:20what you can do with your life after divorce and all of that

02:23to use your platform in a positive way

02:26and not just be sort of a vapid housewife

02:31has been really empowering for me.

02:34And that's the part that I love the most.

02:38Absolutely.

02:38And how has that kind of adjustment been from,

02:41you know, this is your real life

02:44and you won't forget about that a lot of the time.

02:46Yeah.

02:47Because they just see the drama.

02:48So how has the adjustment been from you guys

02:50kind of just going about your normal life

02:52to then suddenly being propelled into worldwide fame, essentially?

02:56I think a big thing is not to read the negative comments,

02:59to just do your post and move on

03:03because I think it can weigh you down and drain you.

03:05And it's not real.

03:07Their perspective is based on their experiences

03:10with their own life.

03:11So I think once you can appreciate that

03:15and understand that, it's easier to move on.

03:16But the negativity isn't fun.

03:18So you ignore it.

03:20You know, it's interesting.

03:21My first season was the first year of the pandemic.

03:25So we had our first season and then we were in lockdown.

03:31So it didn't really occur.

03:34Even like the...

03:34That was the same with us.

03:36Y'all were...

03:36That was our first season.

03:37So our first reunion was on a laptop.

03:41Right.

03:41We were all on a laptop.

03:42I remember that.

03:43So and then that summer when we were...

03:47We were free to go.

03:49I didn't go anywhere for a year.

03:51So it was this gradual approach.

03:54And so I think it was even more like in my face.

04:00Like, oh, because I hadn't been to New York in two years,

04:03even from LA.

04:04So when I got to New York, I remember it was like,

04:08what? Why do you know me?

04:10Because they say your name.

04:11I'm like, hey, thinking that,

04:13oh, maybe I just forgot who they were.

04:15But so it's very interesting.

04:17So how do you keep on top of that then?

04:19Because I think reality stars get a lot and a lot,

04:23a lot of negativity and a lot of hate.

04:25And that is really difficult to manage.

04:27I'm like you.

04:28I don't read the comments and stuff like that

04:29because it just sends you.

04:30How do you kind of manage that aspect of it?

04:33Do you just block it out like you were saying?

04:35I have a good sense of humor about it.

04:36Like this one guy on Twitter wrote,

04:39like he posted his picture and he's like,

04:41f**k Heather and f**k Lisa.

04:42And I was like, absolutely no one f**king you.

04:45And so, did you write that?

04:47I did.

04:48I mean, it's crazy when someone's like,

04:51I hate you.

04:51I'm like, you don't even know me.

04:53I know. So it's fun to like go along with humor.

04:56I wouldn't use that.

04:56And then I won't, I just, I don't even engage.

05:01Engage.

05:01See, I wish I could take the moral high ground.

05:03I cannot engage.

05:05But I'm going to tell you,

05:06it's funny because we, my good friend,

05:08Jennifer Tilly has come on this season as a friend of,

05:11and it's so interesting because she is an actress

05:14and a like beloved actress,

05:17especially because of Chucky.

05:19And those Chucky fans, they'll come get you.

05:22But watching her and her watching me,

05:26she is like, you, they think they know you.

05:30Yes.

05:31Yeah.

05:31With Jennifer, they see her as a star,

05:34not approachable.

05:35With me, they're like, hey Sutton,

05:40like they don't do that to Jennifer.

05:41And it's going to be very interesting to see

05:44at the end of this season, what happens to her.

05:47But also she's not used to negative comments.

05:50So also going to be interesting to see what happens there.

05:53But I think her Chucky fans might not like that.

05:55She's got a whole army that's going to protect her.

06:01I mean, so the difference between like actresses

06:04and reality stars is very different.

06:06I do.

06:07That is such an interesting thing.

06:08I wish we could talk about that more

06:09because I find that so interesting.
