00:00And then there's the New York Mets, who knocked out the Philadelphia Phillies in the playoffs last year,

00:04spent some money this offseason, and that was with Juan Soto, coming over from the New York Yankees.

00:10All those plate appearances, all those walks, all that money to slide right in to the two-spot in that lineup.

00:17Let's start there. Soto to the Mets. The feeling in the room for the Metropolitans for you, Tom, is what?

00:24Expectations are super high. Like, they're pushing their chips into the middle.

00:28I still think they need to improve the pitching staff. We know Sean Manias, we know Frankie Montas is here to start the season.

00:34They need to make improvements there. Clay Holmes is their opening day starter that has been announced.

00:38He was a closer for the Yankees last year. He's been a reliever for many years.

00:42The chips are in the middle, and it can't stop with Soto. It has to be aggressive at the deadline.

00:46If these pitchers don't come through, they aren't healthy, whatever it might be.

00:49The top of the lineup is awesome. With Jeff McNeil and Francisco Alvarez already hurt to start the year,

00:54what are we getting from the bottom portion of the lineup?

00:56Because, again, the same thing we said about a lot of teams.

00:58If Lindor and Soto and Alonso and Nimmo and Vientos are awesome, if those players are great, what do we get from the bottom?

01:05Do those players show up? What if one or two of those players start off slow?

01:08What if they also get injured? Can you pitch around Soto?

01:10Because we know Nimmo's not the biggest power hitter.

01:12Is Vientos just a flash in the pan last year? I don't think so.

01:15But some people are a little bit worried about him being consistent.

01:18A lot of question marks for the Mets, but they will be there when it's all said and done.
