00:45How so? By channeling his inner Jedi and unleashing his Aura to the max.

01:05It's almost a Poké parody, but Lucario's fluffy edginess makes the whole thing a blast to watch.

01:17Number 9, is that a freaking shiny Mega Rayquaza?

01:21Yes, it is, and its appearance, while having little sense within the anime's continuity, makes it one hell of a set piece.

01:29The finale of the Clash of Ages movie is essentially a brawl between a handful of legendary Pokémon,

01:35with the evil version of Hooper summoning every world ender it can get its rings on.

01:49Thankfully, Ash has an ace up his sleeve, as Rayquaza appears to aid in the battle.

02:09Let's get to it, Charizard!

02:23Charizard's glow-up in the Kalos region cannot be understated.

02:27Thanks to Mega Evolution, the iconic lizard was able to shift into one of two forms,

02:33each coming with a new elemental affinity and an incredible new design.

02:38Nowhere was this better demonstrated than the Lumios Conference,

02:42where Alain's Charizard trades claws against another of its kin.

03:04Seeing Charizard X and Charizard Y compete to see who stands on top was a brief, yet brilliant highlight.

03:35On the one hand, this is borderline ridiculous.

03:38But on the other, it's great to see Ash's Lycanroc pull off such a spectacular win.

03:48And both trainers launch into the action with Stone Edge!

03:51Battling against the likes of Gladion's Lycanroc to earn himself the top crown,

03:56the two Alolan hounds go blow-for-blow,

03:59though Gladion's quickness on the draw leads to Ash's Lycanroc getting a full counter to the face.

04:11But instead of succumbing to such a paltry thing like the rules of Pokémon,

04:16Ash commands Lycanroc to use Counter-Against-Counter.

04:22At the end of the day, the rule of cool always wins.

04:28Back when Charizard was still untrainable and was causing Ash a hard time,

04:38there was a single shining moment

04:40where the two joined forces and showcased

04:43how much of a beast Charizard can be when properly motivated.

04:57Taking on Blaine's Magmar atop an active volcano,

08:23Red follows in the footsteps of gamers everywhere

08:26and takes on the full might of Mewtwo.

08:31Wow, Char's already evolved even further!

08:34And while the strongest of the original generation

08:37wipes out his old team,

08:39it's got nothing on a newly Mega Evolved Lizard.

08:42Who proceeds to beat the rare candy out of it?
