00:00So could you just explain please what the Household Support Fund is and how it

00:04will benefit the people of Peterborough? Yes, the Household Support Fund we've

00:08now had for a couple of years and we just had it confirmed by the government

00:11that we've got over three million pounds now to continue with our next phase. So

00:15previously what we spent the money on is we've got like food vouchers for

00:19children for all the half terms which again we were able to reallocate for

00:22that. We've also worked with various partners like Citizens Advice to help

00:27people analyse and help them with debt issues and that's proved very beneficial

00:33for people that have had to go there and we helped save them quite a lot of money.

00:36The money is also allocated to various community hubs around the city which

00:41again we cover a whole wide areas, faith-based communities, different

00:47areas so we do cover the full range in the city and how we work with them is

00:51that we give them obviously some of the monies and then they can put it, they

00:56have like sort of like food bags, food meals you know sitting and helping

00:59people look at their different issues so it really is a very inclusive money that

01:05gets spent for the city. Within that is meant obviously the target is to keep

01:10people as much as they can to keep them out of debt and to help with issues

01:14that they may have. So it's about that sort of part of the people that we

01:19want to keep them out of their low poverty issues we don't want to do that

01:21we want to try and keep them in that. We also recently, well this month, we also gave

01:27£100 to keep people again because obviously we've lost some of the

01:30winter fuel so again we've got good data we could say we gave some of the

01:35households there that obviously fit the criteria some money as well. So it's a

01:39really diverse portfolio that we are able to offer to residents that need it

01:44most in the city so it's only a good thing and I'm delighted that we've been

01:48once again granted it by the government that we can use wisely in the city.
