00:07for the first day of the 2023 edition.

00:10Lot 132, a son of Siouni, out of a group performing Galileo Mare, sold for €420,000.

00:39top prize for the day was shared with Lot 101, a colt by Zarak hailing from the maternal line

00:44of Bahid and Hukam.

00:46Ross Doyle was charged with a mandate to find a potential winner of future Scandinavian classics.

01:15Ara Dumont-Dimon sold another son of Siouni, Lot 47, for €350,000.

01:22The colt is out of a mare acquired in Deauville in the 2016 October Yearling Sale.

01:44The top buyer, Anthony Stroud, also secured two lots for €260 each.

02:05A sister to Group 1 winner Simcamille by See the Moon, bred and sold by Ara de la Perel,

02:11and a colt by Lope de Vega, the first offspring of a Group 2 placed mare by Dara Cani,

02:17to be trained in France by André Fabre.

02:20Amongst two more lots to share the same prize tag of €260,000 was a filly sold by Ara de la Louvière,

02:27a sister to two black-tie performers by Wooten Bassett.

02:31Obviously she's coming from a great farm and we all know the story with Lady Aurelie.

02:36So, I mean, it's a bit emotional, but the idea was to find a good filly from a good stud farm.

02:43And this filly, I think she's a smashing filly.

02:46She's strong, she's got great style.

02:49She's going to train in France and in prospect to be a broodmare in the future.

02:54You know, that's the idea in general, you know.

02:56The bidding also reached €260,000 for lot 131, a filly by See the Stars,

03:02out of a sister to ARC winner Dane Dream, sold by Écurie des Monceaux to Soombe.

03:08Nolan Bizakov's operation acquired another smart filly in lot 77,

03:13a half-sister by Baited Breath to Charles Rumi, a black-type winner born and bred on their farm.

03:19The Arcana October Sale continues with part two, starting Wednesday at 2pm French time.

03:24And it's still time to acquire a pink October edition of this Arcana favourite.
