00:00The palace clarified that no discussions have been made regarding the position of Solicitor General

00:17representing government officials in the petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed by the children of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

00:26Guevara defended the OSG's decision

00:28stating that there was no conflict of interest as the agency is mandated to uphold national interests.

00:34He also stressed that the recusal was not personal but institutional.

00:38Meanwhile, the palace sees no issue with former presidential spokesperson Harry Rocas' request for asylum in the Hague while the

00:46investigation against Duterte is ongoing.

00:58It would be good if Soljen himself assesses himself if he is still qualified to stand as Solicitor General.
