00:00The second Pakyaw Elorde Awards Night will be celebrated by some of the athletes who have given glory both inside and outside the country.

00:13Star-studded and very T-Night!

00:16That's how the night of the Pakyaw Elorde Awards Night looks like.

00:23This event has been happening for more than 20 years in the Philippines.

00:26But for the second time, the Filipino boxing icon of Pakyaw and the Elorde family joined forces to lead this program.

00:34In a press conference, Liza Elorde, the COO of Johnny Elorde Management International and boxing promoter and manager, said

00:41that this is a way to value not only Filipino professionals and amateur boxers, but also the entire Philippine sports.

00:49I think it's something for them because what they did was recognized.

00:54And in front of all the boxers, the promoters and everything, I think it's something for them that they are being honored.

01:03And sometimes it happens, right?

01:06There are no really awards-giving bodies that we have here in the Philippines,

01:13except for that awards night, which we have been doing for the past years.

01:19Some of the major awards that will be given to 70 awardees are the Best Manager, Best Trainer, Boxer of the Year, and Fighter of the Year Award.

01:27The Special Award will be given to the two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo as a Sports Hero Awardee.

01:33Some of the ones who will be on stage are the Paris Bronze Medalist Neste Petesho and Ayla Villegas.

01:38Aside from them, there are many athletes and professionals who will be watching the awarding ceremony.

01:44We are expecting a lot of former world champions that will be.

01:48Because it's a gathering of all the champions from the past and the present here in the Philippines.
