Member for Wannon Dan Tehan has promised to give Warrnambool surf club $7.65m for a new facility if it wins government.

00:00This club has served the community for decades, but it's time that we're able to get a new

00:08Surf Lifesaving Club and it was fantastic that last Wednesday the club launched their

00:14appeal to raise $16 million to get a new Surf Lifesaving Club.

00:20This is something that I strongly support and I'd love to announce today that an elected

00:28coalition government will provide $7.65 million towards that $16 million.

00:37This is something that the Surf Lifesaving Club has been advocating for incredibly strongly

00:45for over five, six years now and obviously before the last election we made a commitment,

00:52unfortunately we didn't win government, but this time my hope is we will win government

00:59and we will be able to deliver that $7.65 million as part of the $16 million that the

01:06club is hoping to raise.
