00:00Hello, I'm Sam Morton, a reporter for Sussex World. I'm outside the Etihad Stadium where

00:04Brighton drew 2-1 against Manchester City in a really entertaining match that either

00:09side could have won. Brighton came back from behind twice in the game, so really you can

00:15see it as a point gained in that battle for the Champions League. But with the chances

00:19Brighton had, 2-1 especially, they probably should have won it. I mean, Man City hit the

00:23post, but Brighton had a massive chance, especially with Carlos Baleba having a glaring

00:30opportunity from point-blank range from a Jal Pedro cutback. Couldn't keep the ball

00:34down and on target unfortunately. Jankuva Minte also had a chance where he couldn't

00:39quite connect with Diego Gomez's pass. So it was a bit of disappointment in that sense.

00:45Brighton couldn't get the win, but a two-all draw is by no means a bad result at the home

00:49of the Champions. Obviously, it's been a poor season for Man City, but they still

00:54are within a huge chance of getting a Champions League spot. It was a really big game in that

00:57race, as we know that fifth place will probably be enough this season. So Brighton will be

01:04pleased to obviously avoid that defeat after going a goal behind twice in the match. It

01:10was Erling Haaland and Omar Mahmoud who scored the goals for City. And for Brighton, Pervis

01:14Estupinad scored his first goal since December 2023 with a brilliant free-kick. Jack Hinchwood

01:19will take the credit for what was a known goal from Khrushchev to level the scoring
