00:00Speaking of Mick Cronin, now this is yesterday, this wasn't after today's game obviously or before today's game,

00:08but you sent me this and I thought it was pretty cool.

00:10This is him talking, see, this is why we love Mick, he's got a lot of things to say.

00:15This is him talking about how young players are getting ruined at a very early age in today's basketball.

00:22Too much goes on in youth basketball where it's about me and not we.

00:29And it's not the kid's fault, they're a product of the system.

00:33Then they get to guys like me or Coach Izzo, not that I should never, I apologize, me and Kevin Willard,

00:38we can't compare ourselves to Coach Izzo, way out of my lane there, I'm not in his league.

00:43But we're trying to tell you, you've got to play defense, you've got to play smart,

00:48everybody else just lets them run around and shoot every time.

00:51Get beat on defense, they don't come out.

00:54It's not helping them though, it's not helping them.

00:58That's why you hear all the NBA guys now talking about why there's so many Europeans,

01:03because they actually play real basketball.

01:05There's no such thing as a pickup game in Europe.

01:08I'm telling you, I've told you this on the air, I play with this Ukrainian dude, my boy Volva.

01:14I've never seen anything like the way this guy plays, hard.

01:18He's no more than 6'3", but he defends seven footers.

01:22Gets up into their legs, chops them down like a tree.

01:26You can't move him out of the block, he stands there, he swipes it there.

01:31If they put the ball on the deck, he swipes at it, steals it, goes in.

01:35Can shoot with both hands, can jump and dunk at 6'3", no problem.

01:41Can shoot from outside with a hand in his face, can drive and climb a tree

01:46and a seven footer's face and stick it in off the glass right in his face.

01:51European players are better than American players.

01:54All American players are show-offs and they shoot 35 footers

02:00and generally they shoot under 30% from three.

02:04I mean, they're all trash. That's just all there is to it.

02:07Any team that even shoots over 35% of three, they glorify them.

02:12I mean, you're shooting 36% from three, you suck.

02:16I don't care what anybody says.
