The number of flood victims seeking shelter at relief centres in Sabah has risen to 4,555 people from 1,493 families as of 8 pm, compared to 4,159 people from 1,362 families at 4pm on Monday (March 10).

00:00The number of flood victims seeking shelter at relief centres in Sabah has risen to 4,555
00:09as of 8pm, up from 4,159 at 4pm on Monday.
00:15According to the Sabah Disaster Management Committee, eight relief centres in Tainom
00:20are housing over 1,100 people from 435 families.
00:26Four centres in Beaufort are accommodating more than 1,700 people, while two in Membakut
00:32shelter nearly 900.
00:34Additionally, two centres in Souk are housing 778 evacuees, while two in Keningau have closed
00:42as residents were allowed to return home.
00:45The committee noted that the number of evacuees in Beaufort and Membakut is rising, while
00:51the situation in Souk and Tainom remains stable.
00:54Beaufort has been flooded since March 7th, with roads now only accessible to heavy vehicles
01:00and train services disrupted.
01:03Residents are struggling to obtain daily necessities, as all shops remain closed, with some submerged.
