As new tariffs loom over some of the U.S.'s biggest trade partners,
00:04
one Canadian company is trying to relieve some of the stress its customers might endure.
00:09
Moosehead Breweries, Canada's oldest brewery,
00:12
is now selling a giant crate equipped with 1,461 beers.
00:18
If you're doing the math at home, that comes out to one beer a day
00:21
for the duration of Donald Trump's second term.
00:24
The brewery, founded in 1867,
00:27
released a statement saying,
00:28
if the start of 2025 has taught us anything,
00:31
it's that it will take determination to weather four years of political uncertainty
00:36
and what better way to make it through each day than with a truly Canadian beer.
00:41
Moosehead itself will be impacted by the new tariffs when they kick in.
00:45
The company will face a new 10% hike on aluminum lids,
00:48
lids it claims it can only purchase from the U.S.
00:51
Moosehead also says 20% of its beer is sold in the States
00:55
and those exports could be hit by the tariffs.
00:59
Dubbed the Presidential Pack,
01:01
the $2,400 crate is available in the Canadian provinces of
01:05
Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
01:08
That'll do it for your daily briefing from the New York Stock Exchange.
