00:06And because of the hot weather, some schools in Metro Manila implemented a change in the time of the class.

00:23The type that gets ready for the hot weather and then it suddenly rains?

00:28Pag-asa has an explanation for this.

00:30This month of March, the Easter Leaves and North-East Moon are simultaneously changing.

00:38So if you notice, the Amihan is only changing for 3-4 days within the span of 2 weeks.

00:46While before, from November to February, it was changing for almost 1 week to 2 weeks.

00:53The sun hasn't risen yet but the heat is already intense.

00:56That's why some cities like Caloocan already implemented an adjusted class schedule for public elementary and high schools starting today.

01:03Depending on the school, there are those who start their morning classes at 5.30 in the morning.

01:08While there are schools that start their afternoon classes at 3 in the afternoon.

01:14This is a result of a consultation with the Caloocan Schools Division Office, Principal and Officials of the School Parent Teacher Association.

01:22It is possible for private schools to implement their own schedule.

01:26But Caloocan is ready to cancel classes when it is time to announce the hope that the heat will reach the extreme danger.

01:33The city of San Juan is the first to announce an adjusted class schedule.

01:37The Department of Health said that the heat can reach the heat cramps, heat exhaustion, or even reach the heat stroke.

01:46In the extreme heat, the so-called heat stroke can happen.

01:50What is a heat stroke?

01:52It is when the patient loses consciousness or the mental state of the patient, the sensorium, changes.

01:59The patient's nervous system can shut down.

02:02If we used to avoid going out or going out in the sun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

02:08Now, DOH's advice is not to go out from 9 a.m.
