00:00The number of foreign direct investments or FDIs in the Philippines reached 8.93 billion US dollars in 2024.

00:07According to the data released by the Central Bank of the Philippines,

00:10this is a higher number compared to the 8.925 billion US dollars in 2023.

00:15There is an FDI when an individual or a company

00:21from another country starts a business in the Philippines in a different way.

00:25In addition to the FDI in December 2024,

00:28the country received 110 million US dollars

00:31in manufacturing, finance, construction, and real estate.

00:36Meanwhile, the Philippine dollar reserves reached 106.65 billion US dollars

00:41at the end of February this year, according to the FDI.

00:45It increased by 3.3 percent from January and 4.6 percent compared to the previous year.

00:51Because of the government foreign deposits,

00:52the gold value and earnings from foreign investments are higher.
