00:05Allen permission to find a trade. He was discussed in the Debo Samuel trade. Instead he gets

00:09released. Washington saves 16 and a half mil towards the 2025 salary cap, 6 million dead

00:15cap hit. We knew this was coming. I wish John the best man. And I know him pretty well.

00:26I know his wife Hannah. They're very nice people. But this thing was gonna happen, man.

00:33Couldn't get a trade done. Yeah, they tried. They let him try. Now he gets to hit the market.

00:39Right? Like this is how I go. And this is what the teams do that. Try to take care of

00:45people. They got him out there early enough, gave him an opportunity. And now get your

00:57you're released, John Allen. You know, to me, this is how quality organizations operate,

01:03though. Well, I think they know other teams also understand, as you state all the time,

01:09when you tell a guy you can go look for a trade, you know, you're more likely to release

01:12him. And those other teams are saying, well, why would I offer somebody gonna let him go

01:17anyway? Right. So you let him go, because if you really want to do something, you can

01:21make your move now and go where you want to go. It's like another team isn't going to.

01:31You know, he's going to hit the market. Last year, he missed 12 regular season games. Yeah.

01:43I think he wanted, he wanted an extension. He wants some guarantees. There's none of it

01:48on the current deal. That's probably what if I had to guess now going forward, John gets,

01:54I mean, the announcement will be a three-year deal, but the guarantees will only be this year,

02:00maybe a little into the second season. It's unfortunate, but this is, as Dan Quinn said,

02:05the business, the intersection of business and football. That's the way the league works.

03:36that are maybe looking for veteran D tackles. John's available. John is now on their board.

03:41The agent could talk to them. There's a lot of teams with a lot of cap space, right?

03:47And now that John Allen is part of the plan for every team out there.
