00:19The Department of Agriculture has already issued the guidelines for the implementation of the MSRP on pork in March 10.
00:26Based on the help of the DA and the leadership of Secretary Francisco T. Laurel Jr. and the stakeholders, the price of pork MSRP will be
00:35P350 per kilo of MSRP for pork shoulder or kasim, while P380 for pork belly or liempo.
00:42It will be effective starting March 10 in Metro Manila.
00:46It will start on Monday and there will be a periodic review. It will start after a month that the MSRP will be established on Monday.
00:59Our DTI, PNP, will visit the markets to see the compliance from next week.
01:08The stakeholders are in favor of the MSRP of pork for lowering the price of pork in the market.
01:14The assumption is that everyone is happy with the price. From farmgate to travelers, traders, retailers, the P380 for pork belly, P350 for pork shoulder,
01:26everyone is happy with the price because none of the sectors are cutting the price.
01:32Another thing that is lowering the price of pork is the price of farmgate.
01:37From the previous P250 average, now it's just P230. P100 to P120 is enough for the profit margin between pork traders and retailers.
01:48The maximum P300 per kilo will also be implemented for pork shoulder or the price from traders to retailers.
01:56According to the Ministry of Agriculture, pork MSRP implementation is only in Metro Manila,
02:01but the cost structure in other regions is also being studied so that the MSRP can be issued here.
