00:13Christina, the mic is yours, and I will lower it for you.

00:21Oh great, a short joke.

00:26Um, this is really so, I mean, I'm a terrible public speaker, so you're going to have to

00:33bear with me, especially since I might cry.

00:35So, this is just such a truly incredible honor, and I'm so moved by it.

00:42Surprisingly, because I don't feel much.

00:46Um, first of all, I want to thank Dan and Patty.

00:50I mean, both of you really saw something in me that I did not see in myself at the

00:55time, and I was able to build on your belief in me at a time when I really needed it.

01:02And I'm so grateful.

01:04I will always be indebted to you.

01:07And then for you to show up here for me and do this is just, I'm so touched.

01:12And Dan, you too, I know you didn't say anything, but honestly, the fact that I was a repellent

01:1917-year-old mess, and you just loved me.

01:23And it meant so much to me at that point in my life.

01:28So, thank you both for speaking on my behalf.

01:31It really means so much.

01:34Thank you to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, truly.

01:38And thank you to my Yellow Jackets family.

01:40So many of you are here, and it just touches me so much.

01:44Tommy came in from Colorado.

01:46I can't believe it.

01:48I don't know that I would fly to Colorado for you for a day.

01:51So, I'm really just so touched.

01:54I would.

01:55I mean, I would.

01:58I want to thank my Showtime family and my Lionsgate family for making this happen.

02:03And thank you so much to my fantastic managers, Stephen Nosikoff and Jason Weinberg.

02:09I mean, you guys are just unbelievable.

02:12I'm so happy to have you on my side.

02:18And my killer CAA team, Dar Rawlins, who's been my agent since I think I was in my 20s.

02:25We were both like 24 or something.

02:28Allie Trustman, Harley Koppen, Olivia Blaustein.

02:32My partner, Michael Peters at Cat Full of Spiders.

02:35I love you so much.

02:37He really, he, I like geriatric, and he keeps me able to operate tech and show up at Zooms and read stuff.

02:46It's amazing.

02:47But also, you're so talented and so smart.

02:50Your taste is so incredible.

02:51And I'm just so grateful to have you in my life.

02:54My wonderful assistant, Anna Rossi, who does so much for me.

02:58Gene Kowalik, my brand manager.

03:01My lawyer, Jamie Afifi.

03:03Stephen Pergiato and Shakira Washington.

03:06And I want to say a special thank you to my incredible publicist, Britta Rifkin.

03:12Who, we've been together since I think we were both about 25.

03:17Some of our first tours were together.

03:20Some crazy incidents.

03:23We've had to share Ativan at different times over the course of the past 20 years.

03:28She sang just once, but I think it might have been more than once.

03:31And she is more than my representative, my publicist.

03:37She is a true friend.

03:38She has shown up for me in incredibly dark times of need.

03:42And always moves mountains for me.

03:45And I know you had so much to do with this happening today.

03:48And I really am so grateful.

03:53I want to thank my family.

03:55Mark, you're the most supportive and loving husband.

03:58Freddie, you made me feel so much love the day you were born.

04:04And reconnected me to art and passion and ambition.

04:10And Cleo, my gorgeous little baby girl.

04:13I love you so much.

04:14I'm inspired by all your strength and courage and spirit.

04:19She's really spirited.

04:24My sister, Pia.

04:25I could not do this life without you.

04:27You've been there for me from the moment I was born.

04:30And, I mean, just everything.

04:32I call my sister all the time in times of need.

04:35And you are always there for me.

04:37My brother-in-law, TJ.

04:39And my niece and nephew, Noah and Asa.

04:42I love you guys so much.

04:44My mother, who started this career with me when I was only eight.

04:48Taught me how to take buses into the Port Authority in New York.

04:52And make sure we didn't get mugged on Ninth Avenue.

04:55And taught me how to pretend I was staying at hotels to use the lobby bathroom.

05:01All the things.

05:02We learned all the things very early on.

05:04So savvy, this woman.

05:06And, Rebecca, none of this would be possible without your incredible contribution to our family.

05:11So, thank you.

05:20So, this really means so much to me, I have to say.

05:23From the moment I started acting, I knew it was meant to be.

05:28You know, I just felt like I was finally doing the right thing.

05:32And I was only seven.

05:34And then, from the moment I stepped on a film set, I knew I was home.

05:39I've been a working actress for over 36 years.

05:42And a part of this community.

05:44And as much as I've always felt at home on a set.

05:47Compulsively drawn to any base camp I drive past.

05:50And love the feeling of stepping up to my mark, or really anyone's mark.

05:56It feels so good to step on that T.

05:58They used to shoot in my grocery store.

06:00And they would, like, leave the T marks.

06:02And I would, like, have to go and stand on them.

06:05Because it just felt so good to me.

06:10But as much as all of that is true.

06:12And as much as I always felt at home on a set.

06:15I don't think I would have ever believed, as a young actress, that I would receive an honor like this.

06:20I've always felt very much on the outside.

06:24And what made me special wasn't always valued or popular.

06:28Especially in my days as a young adult.

06:30And I know I'm here.

06:32And my career has thrived as it has.

06:34Only because of the belief others had in me.

06:38And the work and support they were willing to offer me.

06:41I'm only here and will forever now be here at Hollywood and Argyle.

06:46I'm going to haunt my star when I die.

06:48So, I'll just always be here.

06:51I'm only here because of the incredible people in my life who have traveled this road with me.

06:57I am so grateful.

06:59And so honored.

07:00And so incredibly moved.

07:08So, this is a resolution from the City of Los Angeles.

07:11The City Council of Los Angeles.

07:13Presented via the 13th Council District.

07:16And the Council Member who represents this area in Hollywood, Hugo Soto-Martinez.
