00:00I feel like every year, so much stress

00:02and so much emphasis is put on the combine,

00:05certain workouts, certain things.

00:06Why does it actually matter?

00:08I mean, the event itself, there's a lot to it,

00:10but what about the combine itself actually means anything?

00:15And what do you think is overblown

00:17about what happens in Indy every year?

00:18Yeah, so what matters?

00:20First and foremost, the medicals.

00:21That's the biggest thing.

00:22It's having the opportunity to get an MRI on 300 players.

00:26That's what matters, really more than anything else.

00:29You're gonna have, gosh,

00:30I think it's six different team doctors now that you do

00:33basically a physical with each one,

00:35the MRIs to get the full medical background.

00:38Our good friend Matt Bowen used to tell a story

00:40about he wrecked his bike when he was 12 years old

00:43and they were like, what's that scar from?

00:44He's like, I wrecked my bike as a kid.

00:46And they're like, okay, flipping through the charts

00:48to see if he was telling the truth or not.

00:50That's the most important part of it.

00:52Secondary to that are the team interviews

00:54because this is the first time

00:56all the prospects are together.

00:58We had EastWest Shrine.

01:00We had Senior Bowl and that's like speed dating.

01:02You get those very short interviews with some teams.

01:05This is the next step.

01:06This is the second date,

01:08where it's a little bit more formal

01:10and you're really trying to get to the heart

01:13of who the player is.

01:14You do stuff a limited amount of time,

01:17but you've done your research.

01:19You're coming in with hard hitting questions at this point.

01:21And then I think the third most important thing

01:23is the actual workouts.
