00:03This is our weather update for March 6, 2025.

00:07This is our satellite image and it shows that the northeast monsoon is continuously affecting the northern part of Luzon,

00:15specifically in Batanes, Apayao, and the northern part of Cagayan.

00:19It will bring cloudy skies with thunderstorms and rains.

00:24On the other hand, the eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao will be affected.

00:32It will bring isolated thunderstorms and rains.

00:39But in the western part, along with Metro Manila,

00:42it will bring clear skies.

00:44This means that it may be sunny in the morning and afternoon,

00:47but there are still chances of rain and thunderstorms.

00:51This is what we expect until the second week of March.

01:05For our forecast for tomorrow,

01:08the wind will continue to affect the northern part of Luzon,

01:16and the eastern part will be affected.

01:18Because there is a line below Amihan,

01:23the shear line may develop.

01:26The shear line may bring clouds and thunderstorms,

01:32especially in the eastern part of Luzon.

01:34Here on the left, along with Metro Manila,

01:38it will bring clear skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms.

01:44Here in Metro Manila, the temperature will rise from 24 to 34.

01:49In Baguio, it will be 17 to 27.

01:51In Lawag, it will be 23 to 32.

01:54In Tuguegarao, it will be 24 to 31.

01:56In Tagaytay, it will be 22 to 31.

01:58And in Legazpi, it will be 25 to 30.

02:01In Palawan, specifically in Puerto Princesa and Calayaan Islands,

02:05the weather will continue to be clear,

02:09but there are still chances of thunderstorms.

02:12The temperature in Puerto Princesa is 26 to 32.

02:15In Calayaan Islands, it is 26 to 33.

02:19Because of the easterlies,

02:21it may bring cloudy skies

02:24with isolated rains and thunderstorms here in the southern part of Mindanao.

02:29In the northern part of Visayas and Mindanao,

02:33it will continue to be clear skies,

02:36but there are still chances of thunderstorms.

02:40The temperature in Cebu is 26 to 31.

02:43In Iloilo, it is 25 to 32.

02:46In Tacloban, it is 25 to 31.

02:48And in Davao, it is 24 to 31.

02:52We have a high gale warning now,

02:54so we are advising our fellow Filipinos

02:58to be careful, especially in places like Batanes, Cagayan Island,

03:02along with Baboyan Island, Cagayan Province,

03:06and Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.

03:09Our gale can reach up to 4.5 meters,

03:13so we should continue to be careful,

03:16especially in small sea vehicles.

03:18For our three-day weather outlook,

03:21in the neighboring cities in our country,

03:24from March 8 to March 10,

03:27in Metro Manila, it will continue to be clear skies

03:31with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,

03:34except for Monday,

03:36where we expect to see only rain showers.

03:41In Baguio, it will continue to be clear skies

03:44due to the influence of wind gusts.

03:47By the way, why does wind gusts occur?

03:53We know that the Earth rotates

03:56and produces day and night,

03:58but it also revolves around the Sun.

04:01Because of its tilt,

04:02there are times when the Southern Hemisphere is brighter,

04:05and there are times when the Northern Hemisphere is more sunny.

04:08That is what drives our seasonality.

04:12When the wind in the Southern Hemisphere is hotter,

04:16that is where our winds go,

04:19so the daytime in the Southern Hemisphere is longer.

04:29Those wind gusts will continue to affect Baguio

04:34and may bring rains and thunderstorms.

04:48In Metro Cebu and Iloilo City,

04:50including Tacloban,

05:04especially in the afternoon.

05:05But from Sunday to Monday,

05:14that there will be long rains and thunderstorms.

05:18In Cagayan de Oro,

05:20it will be the same,

05:22but it will be different on Monday.

05:25In Zamboanga,

05:26it will also be clear skies

05:28with chances of isolated thunderstorms.
