00:00Updates on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the go.
00:22Ladies and gentlemen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has ordered the National Task Force Kanlaon to look for a safe place for the evacuation sites and permanent relocation of those affected by the volcano's eruption.
00:38This was discussed in the President's call for a large part of the government's long-term plan to ensure the safety of the residents affected by the volcano's eruption in Negros Island.
00:51In order to help, President Marcos Jr. also ordered the evacuation of those living in danger zones, evacuation sites, and permanent relocation sites.
01:00He also ordered the DNDOCD to lead the task force and the agencies that will continue to lead the LGUs.
01:08There is a need for the people to leave the danger zone and build large evacuation centers for the affected residents.
01:17In addition to the activities of the President, our President approved the issuance of a P700 million fund for the construction of child development centers in low-income municipalities.
01:34The early childhood development proponents also asked President Marcos Jr. to pass a fund within the next three years in order to give access to low-income barangays in early childhood education.
01:47In a sectoral meeting in Malacanang, together with EDCOM 2 and other agencies, the President emphasized that the daycare centers should be made into CDCs because the training of teachers and children is the same.
02:01He also ordered the lack of agencies to increase the number of graduates in courses related to early childhood education, especially those who lack early childhood teachers.
02:13According to Education Secretary Sonny Angara, early childhood development initiatives will greatly help improve the quality of education in our country.
02:24This will also reduce the dropout rate and increase the completion rate and literacy of students.
02:30According to EDCOM, there are 5,800 barangays in the country that do not yet have CDCs and 229 of these barangays are among the poor LGUs.
02:40The Department of Budget and Management, or DBM, promised to issue a fund for the construction of CDCs this year through the Local Government Support Fund.
02:50And that is our update this morning. Stay tuned for our next discussion on the activities and programs of the current administration.
