Declan Ganley,a wealthy Irishman,wants to block the EU unification process. Last year he and his party 'Libertas' succeeded in turning public opinion against Brussels. Libertas had a major role in Ireland's rejection of the Lisbon Treaty. Since then allegations have been made that Libertas is being funded by financiers in the US to destabilise Europe. In many countries,the party has even managed to make it to the candidate list for the European elections. Their chances are best in Ireland.
